Default Alarm equipped in Legacy Wagon?

I got the 30th Anniversary Wagon (from other post), 1999 Legacy Outback.

The car has keyless entry, panic. But I cannot find where (or know) the security alarm. I cannot find the little speaker under the hood at all similar to the impreza that I have.

I want to get the security upgrade from subaruparts.com (only 38. bucks). Is that a easy to install item?

Put your window down, close the door, lock it with the keyfob, stick your arm in the window, unlock, and open the door. If the alarm goes off, you have one.

Should be pretty easy to install - I think it's just a module in the dash.

The module is under the driver side dash.
