Updated pics on post 39

Some peopel were requesting info on my build so i decided to get a thread going.. im doing all this on my own with no idea what im really doing...lol just kinda winging it. so heres the lame story

I recently got a new job that required me to take a train as part of the commute. My only option for parking at the New Haven train station is an unsecured huge parking lot in a bad area. I was a little worried about someone stealing my car or some of the parts of it so i decided to get a gc8 beater. couple days later i found this for sale in the town next to me for dirt cheap.

it had 220 on the clock but drove fine. The body was straight with a little rust on the rear quarters...nothing unexpected for a car from NH. Well about two hours after i got the car home i decided to change my plans and just go nuts with the car. Over the past three months ive completly gutted it, removed all the sound deadening and started taking the chassis undercoating off. this is how it stands now.

Stripping the undercoating and removing the suspension revealed a lot more rust then expected the outter wheel wells are shot and the inner ones are pretty bas as well around the strut mounts and its going to the inside of the body as seen here

All this body work around the quarters are good so its leaving me in a tough spot. i cant decided if i should cut them out and get the HT autos widebody kit or jsut leave them cause there in good shape...opinions??? Also
I need some expert advice on if its ok to remove inner wheel wells or not. I plan on stripping the rest of the undercoating and rusty panels this weekend. im going to coat the bottom with por15 to prevent this from happening again. them im guna spray and clear the exterior, engine compartment, interior and undercarage something like a benz black. not really sure. i hear blacks the hardest color to spray so i may go with an easier color like white.... have to see how stuff works out.

Im planning for this car to be strictly for fun with no intentions of daily driving it ever so no consideration is going to gas or comfort. Im planning on geting a ver 8 or 9 spec c motor for this car by mid summer. Im going jdm because i have a jdm 4.444 R180 full rear end and want as much of a powerband as possible. Usdm engine prob would be a bad match for the gearing and i dont think ill need the torque since the car will be very light. any opions on this??
Im still unsure about the tranny but i currently have 2 options. 1. put 4.44 front ring and pinion in my stock tranny and then put built gears when it blows or 2. i picked up a blown wrx tranny and i can swap the ring pinion and center diff and put built gears in that. not sure yet but i know i dont want a six speed. I dont want the weight or the 6th gear.

Im planning on using the whole jdm harness, extending the wires. for that reason i got a 06 sti dash steering colum and steering rack. Ver 3 steering wheel Ver 7 front seats, ver 8 rear seats and carpet.

for suspension i got new front and rear crossmembers, lateral links sway bars and aluminum control arms from 04 to 06 STIs. Im guna get coilovers soon and am leaning towards the rce tarmac 2s. I have rear brembos with my R180 rear end and not suire if im guna get brembos for the front or stoptechs.

exterior i got a Ver6 alumium hood, ver 4 front bumper with chargespeed lip, Ver 6 rear bumper with spats and reg subaru sideskirts

Heres some pics of all the parts.

I think STI's started coming with the aluminum rear links in 05, my parts came from an 04 so no aluminum. its ok cause im prob guna get adjustable lateral links anyway. Im planning on a ver 8 or 9 spec c motor unless some one can talk me into a usdm motor. Im leaning towards jdm cause of the 4.444 R180 im using. If anyone has any thoughts on this please let me know. the car is a 94L and i picked it up for 800 from a local guy on this board. cant remmeber his name but im hoping he will see this and jump in. it was his intentions to do what im doing but money was an issue for him.

Any one with bodyshop experience please let me know if its ok to replace the whole inner outer wheel housing. need to know asap
