Default Diagnosis help.

So i just got my 6sp back into my 2002 WRX.

a few miles down the road, fuse #18 blew.
I replaced the fuse and it blew in the exact same place on the road that it blew the first time (i got there sooner this time).

where might the short be? this circuit has the VSS, head light, high beam, drl, abs solenoid, etc on it.

PS did not do any wire hacking to install the 6sp.

Here is a list of the areas that fuse 18 ties to. If you are just starting the car out from a cold start perhaps the trouble is in cooling fan circuit.

Circuit FB-16
ABS relay
Back-up light switch (MT)
Check connector
Cruise control main switch
Cruise control module
Daytime running light control module
Daytime running light relay
High-beam relay (Daytime running light)
Inhibitor switch (AT)
Keyless entry control module
Security control module
Vehicle speed sensor (MT)
Wiper deicer relay
Wiper deicer timer

Circuit FB-17
Main fan relay (Non-turbo engine model)
Main fan relay-1 (Turbo engine model)
Main fan relay-2 (Turbo engine model)

thanks for the help, but i've solved the problem.i didn't see that the craptacular packing job stripped the wires to the reverse sensor and they were arcing through the trans. i disconnected the reverse sensor and the problem is gone. looks like i'll need a new reverse sensor.
