Default Selling Junk IHI's. Good Luck Having Em rebuilt

Here I am in OT again. I didn't search so this may have been covered before. But here goes. There is a seller on eBay, yes I'm calling his ass out. FHI_Tuning, who is selling IHI VF series turbo's with "low miles" and all of which are damaged. He claims that a simple rebuild will fix the problems.

I hate to break it to anyone but they are not rebuildable (Unless you have an inside to IHI). I find this to be very very deceptive, and did email eBay about it. If you are FHI or know him, call his ass out! That is absolutely rediculous, telling buyers that a simple rebuild will fix his turbo's. Once they have shaft play and/or locked up they are pretty much paper weights.

Please if you are reading this save yourself the time and don't wast $200+ on a junk turbo. I read a thread where a guy on here bought one for $350 and now hes out $350. Hopefully eBay comes through and throws a ban on this guy, because its not fair for him to lie to unsuspecting buyers.

If you have a problem with this, your just as bad as he is. Sorry people who sell for profit and lie about products they are selling PISSES me the **** off!

Ok I'm done now
Jerod

I'd venture to guess 95% of people who drive a turbo Subie on this board know an IHI turbo can't be rebuilt.

I'm willing to bet Deadbolt will say otherwise about rebuilding an IHI turbo.

They mention upgrades but could they do a full rebuild?

"Seal Replacement for non-serviceable turbos
Turbos such as the IHI VF series can have the seals replaced."

IIRC, the only 'rebuild' for an IHI is a new center, and that's IF you can get your hands on one.
