My Stage 2 2008 STi - Bride, Harman Motive, Kartboy, & More

Possibly the first 2008 STi in the world with Brides? Used a Bride RO rail designed for the 04-07 Impreza with custom fabricated adapters for the 08. 08 seats are NOT direct fit into the older models, and vise versa, FYI.

The stock Dunlops are terrible for heavy track use Heavily feathered with only 3000 miles on the odometer.

My Bride rails will be replaced with real rails made for the 08 once they are available, and hopefully it'll position the seats a little lower. Sound clip of the exhaust is currently loading on YouTube, I'll post that once it's done

im glad some exhausts are coming out now but... man how i cant stand those big polished tips.....
why cant someone make one that reflects the looks of the stock exhaust.. oh well..

how does stg2 in your 08 feel compared to 04-07? or do you have that past experience to compare to?

I actually love the exhaust tips and the sound, it's very fitting for the more mature 2008 STi. From what I've seen, Perrin's exhaust is two larger single tips, AMR and P&L's have two seperate mufflers hanging under the car, clearly visible from behind. Out of the current selection, Harman's was by far the best for what I was looking for.

My 2006 STi was a bit quicker, but it was protuned with more mods. Around the track the 2008 feels more composed and controllable, the tail swings around and follows the front much nicer than my 2006, even with better tires and suspension upgrades. As I said, with the same mods as my 06, the 08 is going to be a beast and would dominate my 06.

same here. We have an 07 Stg 1 STI and 08 Stg 1 STI. last weekend was our first autox of the season and my 08 was only .4 sec behind our 07 STI WITH slicks. I was running stock tires and rims (BBS) on the 08. Sure, body roll is there, but I sure as hell didn't feel it. Even after swapping cars at the end of the day, I can say the car handles differently (weight distribution) when flogging it around the course than the 07, and night and day different from my modded 05 LGT.

and love that seat! but I agree.. you need to do the passenger seat as well. the exhaust looks nice. I prefer the rolled look vs the cut pipe look (stock). This 08 is much more grown up and refined. I'm loving mine!
