Impreza GC8 FS/ WTT: 1995 GC8 L (2003 WRX swap, Standalone, JDM 4.11, etc)

Hey guys, up for sale is a my 1995 WRX dubbed “Teala” as I call her. For those who have seen it, know that there is nothing “half assed“ about the car. Originally it was a 1995 Impreza L sedan, front wheel drive and automatic. It is base- has crank windows, excellent for a track or race car. The color is Caribbean Green Metallic, which is very rare and body is in very good shape. It was swapped with a 2003 USDM WRX motor which was less than 10k rebuilt (having a total of 50k), has an Electromotive TEC III standalone ECU, and JDM 4.11 drive train with mechanical LSD. It has sooo many parts on it I’m probably forgetting, and I hate to see it go.

Brief history about the car: I bought the car in January of this year to make it into a rally car- full blown rally car. Meaning, I was not the one who did the swap, but the previous owner said it was swapped in Garage Tuning, and the quality is apparent. However funds have come up short and I am forced to give it up, HOPEFULLY for trade for an already prepped rally car, or for complete sale. - Currently the car has a transmission problem, with a blown 2nd gear. This happened at a local autox where the tranny mount snapped mid-run causing 2nd to sheer off (have a video of the run). I am in the process of taking the trans out to inspect it further, but from draining the fluid, it was apparent 2nd is gone.

For trade, I am considering ANY prepped rally car, but would most prefer a Impreza RS rally car.
For sale, I am asking $8500 as is, or ~$9500 fixed. Although I am taking up offers, I am pretty firm on this price.

1995 L sedan- original Caribbean Green Metallic- body in very good condition 80k chassis
2003 WRX swap
Electromotive TEC III standalone ECU (fully reprogrammable)
JDM 4.11 drivetrain w/ mech LSD
Full 3inch catless turbo back
Perrin catless uppipe
TurboXs boost controller (~20psi)
Walbro 255 fuel pump
Short ram intake
New Exedy Racing clutch (5k miles)
Exedy Flywheel
KYB struts on Eibach springs
WRX 20mm rear sway bar
JDM WRX front brakes (non 4pot)
JDM Legacy vented rear brakes
JDM 5spoke goldies
2003 front WRX seats
RS front bumper with fogs
RS hood
RS 99-01 crystal headlights
RS wing
JDM V4 STi grill
JDM front light weight bumper beam
JDM rear light weight bumper beam
Momo suede rally steering wheel with hub
Autometer boost, water temp gauges.
Full Primative Racing front and rear diff rally skip plates
Aftermarket Pioneer headunit
Several other parts I’m forgetting

The car weighs in the low 2500lbs range, before I removed the AC. Has ~260hp. This car seriously moves, and spins 1st WOT. No doubt low to mid 12s.

Mark - I would trade you my rally car:

http://www.pbase.com/akuhner/rallycarforsale

I'll be honest though, I think you can do better. Mine needs some welding work just to get it back on the road, and is difficult to maintain due to it's age. You'd probably want to do an EJ25 swap on it (I would NOT do a WRX swap into it, it's too old). Take a look at my my list and if you want to work something out you should come visit and see it in person. Email me directly (I think you have my email!).

illgod on SQC can give u a hand redoing wrx gearsets. he's gone thru a bunch, though he has settled on a PPG set for his current needs. i think that may be a wise financial move.

IMO you ought to keep it and toss in a wrx transmission... doubt you'll get anywhere near 8 for it. you could always sell it for what you paid for it though!

It's a 4.11. And they go for this much anyways.

mxpunk, the TEC III is very driveable, as it was my DD around and to school for a couple of months. It depends on the tune too.
