Sounds about right for rallying but not for the Texas Mile.

I was looking at it from the 07 WRX persective. bigger tires, 6.5k red line and different drive.

I went to the drop down, "predifined gear ratios" chose the WRX and got the 131 top speed in 5th.

they say they are the strongest on the market. If they truly are that good, they are half the price of the PPG set.

I have the FIS setup on mine, and really like it. 1st goes to like 45 mph, there is actually engine load and time to make boost. If you're in the market, you might check with them at fi-systems.com, however they only sell them installed. Why are you in the market? Broken or looking for more performance? I didn't pay much more than those prices for mine installed.

they look like they would be great for autox.

If I went something like this and I kept the OEM 5th, would my acceleration on the hwy be crap? I was thinking that cause I would be in 5th before 100, whereas now, 4th ends at 120.

wonder what MFactory 1-3 would be like with stock 4th and 5th?

It wouldn't be crap..you would just have to adjust your gear selection...the car is going to accelerate faster with these gears, you'r just going to be changing gears sooner than you do now..so on the highway to power around someone, you may have to downshift to 4th instead of 3rd...ya know what i mean?

These things are awesome...for auto-x..i can't think of any better ratios..they're perfect. I'm prolly gonna order a set next week.

Well, looking at the comaprison between stock and these in the pictures...these things are incredibly beefy.

Anything can be broken..but these aren't like going to an RA set or something...they are physically stronger (not just stonger materials). I'm gonna contact Msport and talk to them about it, get some more info...I'll keep yall posted.

any reason as to why that you want to share?

The only part that scares me is that I cant find much customer experience since they seem to be fairly new to the subaru game.

I just talked to Guillaume at MFactory. Very nice guys, very helpfull. He told me that the foundry and parent company that makes these gears has been making OEM gears for quite a few manufacturers for quite some time...the aftermarket performance gearsets are pretty new, but they have done quite abit of testing on rally teams and LOTS of testing for autocross with these. His exact words were "these have been very much over-engineered for autocross".

Right now they aren't making gears for the 6-speed, but plans for that may be in the works for the future...they will be offering several suspension pieces (similar to the honda ones they offer now) in the hear future, so i'm looking forward to those offerings.

These gears are not for drag racing (obviously by the ratios)...the gears were not designed for the hard launches and high hp applications associated with drag racing.

They told me that they have tested the gears up to 400 WHP with no issues or breakage...he assumes they can hold a bit more (450-500) but without having actually tested them in a car with that power level he didn't really want to go on record with anything more than what they had tested. I was very happy about that...no crazy claims, they are only telling us what they see.

I'm very happy after having talked to them about it...I will be ordering my gearset as soon as i get some parts sold and will be installing them with my hybrid motor build. (int the next month)...I'll keep you guys posted on how they look/work when i get them.

I have been waiting for a gearset like this for a long time now, so i'm very excited about these.

I have tested them in a open class rally car and on the street in many vehicles.

We are putting them behind our 3.0 H6 here at the end of the week to really beat on them
