Default crap ! I left my oil cap off while I was washing my car!

ok so I left my oil cap off cuz I was gona check the oil level after I finished washing it .......

I just finished washing my car, and realized that I probably got some water in through the driver side vent into the oil fill tube.......(the inside of the tube is now wet with water .............. )

what should I do ????????

I was gona jet down to autozone, and buy 5 quarts of rotella T 15-40 real quick and change the oil (again) ...

But should I even drive it ????

should I even worry about it??

Oil floats on water... so I'm guessing it will eventualy make its way down to the BOTTOM of my oil pan...

or would it get all into my system and cause that HORIBLE SLUDGE **** you get when u mix oil and water and slosh it around ???????????

whata u guys think ??

Depends on how much you got in there. You could be on the safe side and drain all of your oil into a clear plastic container and see how much water you picked up. If it's a small amount you can probably be safe to put the oil back in the engine. If you are lucky it won't be blended together and foamy as if you can get two phases you might be able to strain off all the water.

Make sure not to spill that beer in there too

You should be fine though. You may want to do your next oil change a little sooner than normal just to be on the safe side though.
