Default Help with Bugeye Front Bumper Removal

First off, I did search and found all the needed items to remove... I just can't figure out where all the clips are... I'm doing this to be able to get my OEM lip on well

below this message I have the Message Subie Gal posted in a post a while ago...

Anyways I removed...
the grille, grille sides, headlights, foglights and now I'm getting the clips off, are there any actual screws holding the bumper on? I have removed the 4 front and center, the one on either side where the headlight goes and one more on either side on the backing of the bumper, still partially on top, where are the other clips, if any?

So far that's 9 clips basically on the top of the bumper, what else should I remove?

I'll attach a pic so if anyone has some microsoft paint skills they can point to them...

Side note, it seems to be stuck around the foglight areas...

so basically

remove those 2 bolts

remove grille
remove grille side pieces
remove headlights
remove fog lights

remove every bumper clip you can see, top and bottom

then give it a little tug
if it doesn't come free, you've missed something.
go back and see where it's stuck - remove clips, tug again

it's really fairly simple

just jack the car up on jackstands or something and put the lip on that way.... your making it a whole lot harder than this needs to be,
just hold it up with panters tape and screw that ****ing thing on...
theres no need to take the bumper off...
just put 2 or 3 screws in each side then put the middle up then work your way around each side...

no need to take the bumper off...

i think you got everything and the bumper should slide right off.. i don't understand how it can be stuck on the fogs area

If I remember correctly there are clips that attach the fender well liner to the bumper. Also there should be a screw that holds the fender to the bumper as well. You will have to peel back the fender well liner to see it.

I don't remember what exactly is there... but there is something that holds the fender to the bumper. I remember I thought I had everything disconnected and still couldn't get the bumper off. Then I discovered the issue.

^yep. when i took my bumper off, there was a screw holding the fender to the bumper. it's right behind the fender liner just like fire scoob said. It was a pita to take off the bumper until i figured out that there was a screw hold the bumper & fender together.

i think the op has stated that he already took that bolt that holds the fender to the bumper on the very ends.. which makes this so perplexing

Well I haven't taken any actual screws that hold the plastic bumper on...

I have tazken 9 of those expanding black plastic snap on things off...

5 were right on top, 1 on each side on the inside right in front of the fender well, and one on each side basically where the headlight was...

if there's an actual screw somewhere that would make sense, maybe if someone has a pic of their bumper off that would show where everything is attached lol...

i really don't feel like ripping my bumper today lol

there are 3 more clips, one on each side and one in the middle. you have to undo the fender liner where it attaches to the front bumper and the under tray. You should be able to spot the clips then.

If you haven't removed this screw, that might be it. connects the bumper to the fender. Here's a pic of the bumper & fender, might help you.

/\ that definitley might be it!

thanks a lot!

i'll be trying this again on the weekend, I just put everything back together and put the air splitter on for now, the front lip if a bit warped it seems, and i don't want to drill into my bumper to get that piece to pay flat so now i get to rethink some things lol

thank you a lot though!

well since we're kind of on topic, does anyone know what to do to take care of the front lip, the instructions say to screw into the bumper but i don't want to make a hold in it :S

in letx's pic.. towards #2 on the bumper in the fender well, there are holes.. lips should have preexisting holes that bolt up to that and the holes along the bottom of the bumper

there is also a push clip between the foglight and the brake ducts all the way at the bottom i'll take a picture of it in a bit and put it up on here, u have to take the bottom plastic shields off to get to that push clip!!!

I am doing this this weekend, let me get it straight......

5 clips under the grill
2 screws holding the side of the bumper to the fender
Are their more clips?

And do u really have to remove the fog lights or just undo the connection plugs?
