Default How to put on lower molding for my 03 wrx

I bought the lower molding piece and 2 clips.

When I put the clips into the holes in my car they fit just fine, but when I attach the trim piece it doesn't fit tightly. It just pops right off. Anyone know if there is a trick to making it fit properly. If this problem has already been addressed in a different thread please link me. Thank you.

Its the black plastic piece that's behind the rear door right above the side skirt

Silly question, but you have the other clip right?

Either way, mine broke, so I just used 3m double sided tape

I'm guessing you may have to push harder. When I removed mine they were very tight and broke immediately
