unplug the chime, it's in there somewhere... is this a race car? I hope/am sure you have a harness or other retention system. the plug unplug 40x trick probably isn't what you want if you are not using the factory belt at all.

No this is not a race car. I am using the stock seatbelts. I have a 98 RS with a 02WRX swap (engine, dash, etc.). So pretty much my whole car harness is a WRX one done by ECS. I read on scoobymods.com to cut pin 11 on the blue connector on the integrated module under the dash to get rid of the chim/light. Well that only got ride of the light, which is not what is bothering me. I want the chim to go away, the light I don't car about.

The plug-unplug method only works on the newer cars, it won't work on a 98. You will have to physically remove or disconnect the chime unit if you want to kill it.

Well I got the light to go off, but I was told that I can not just unplug the units because there is other stuff on the plug that is needed. I just need to know if there is another wire that needs to be cut. I cut the black/blue wire going into integrated module under the driver side dash.

can't you just unscrew the door closed switch ( usually on the b-pillar), unplug the harness, and re-install? just a thought though as im not familiar with that car.

Well as soon as I turn the car on the chim starts whether the door is open or not. It only shuts off when I pull the seat belt out far enough.

Ahh..Gotcha...Must be a switch on or near the pretensioner or reciever buckle (although I doubt they wired anything in there.) I guess i'd take the b-pillar trim cover off and have a look, cut some wires, and go for a ride. Kidding. Good luck.
