Default 07 2.5i Fog Light Options / Suggestions

Hey,

My car did not come with OEM fogs so I am thinking about putting some on and wonder what suggestions you guys might have.

#1 Is there any aftermarkets that can go in the where the OEM's would have been?

#2 I am not looking to spend hundreds on fog lights, just something clean looking, that will be functional and semi durable and I don't mind changing bulbs every so often.

#3 I am not a wiring guru so I hope fogs are something that can be easily done without have to do tons of wiring.

#4 Any particular brands and or models that you have used that might fit the bill.

Thanks.

I am pretty sure they will be pretty darn expensive, I can't even find them online to see what they cost? Why in that photo is there 1 fog light hole empty and the other is covered solid with no fog??

Those look good,w hen you refer to custom brackets, you mean I have to make some. I have a metal shop at work.

I assume those would mount in the air damn, not the stock fog light locations?

I assume the wiring is not that hard??

wiring is simple all you have to do is get a relay and switch from another subaru and get connectors or small male spade connectors for the stock fog plugs.

if you can make a bracket, you can fit them in the stock locations... it all depends on the bracket.

you can also put them in front of the radiator, whatever works.

Cool thanks, will get them in a week or so and give it a go

I'm gonna pull off one of the fog light covers and see what's there for mounting, etc.

Anyone ever fit Hella Micro DE in there? I have them on my Saabaru, and they're an absolutely perfect fit.

I was looking at those as well on rallylights website. I can't decide which ones to get, I still have to pull of the fog light cover and see what mounting options are there.

That's where I got 'em from.. seems like a good place to support.
In my case, I got very lucky as someone already did this on the 92x, and had a very nice detailed PDF write up I could print out and use as a guide. . there was a hole on either side for the factory lights that I used, and it ended up just about perfectly centering the lights, and they're set back and concealed.

I used my factory bezels but cut the "mesh" out, and it worked well.... I think the 06-07 has a similar small fog stock, so results may be similar. . These are the best fogs I've ever had, without a doubt. They actually help in poor weather, rather than just look neat. .

I guess you may need to purchase the stock fog surround / bezel to make it work...

An interesting aside that I haven't confirmed yet... the stock 92x fogs are LGT fogs. Not sure if that will help with mounting.

I can't decide whether to go with the DE fogs or 1100 series. Either way I will have to make holes in the stock fog covers and probably make a custom bracket.

I pulled each fog light cover, there seems to be a socket behind each one, I assume that is the wiring for the OEM fog lights, just don't know how I would wire aftermarkets into those sockets unless I cut off the sockets and wire from there. I assume I would be better off wiring and not using the OEM harness/socket?
