Default WRX Tire Rotation ???'s

Hi everyone,

I'm a new WRX owner and am really unfamiliar w/ turbo and AWD cars. So please bear with me if my questions seem a little basic.

I bought my car used w/5,000 miles and it came w/INTRAX PROFLEX coilovers, MRT front & rear swaybars, and 225- 45-17 BRIDGESTONE S-O3's (about 3,000 miles on those). I have a couple of questions regarding tire rotation.

1. How often should I rotate the tires? 3000 miles, 7500?

2. What rotation pattern should I use? Driver's side front to back & Passenger's front to back?

3. Is it necessary to get an alignment after rotation?

Any feedback or advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks in advance,

CL

I rotate every 6000 miles (every other oil change). Front left tire switching with rear left tire, and front right tire switching with rear right tire.

It is very important to rotate your tires on your WRX or any other Subaru because the tire tread depth must be within 1/4in for all tires, or the car will develop some problems in drivetrain area. So, rotate your tires at recommended interval.

No alignment is necessary unless your car is pulling to one side, having uneven tire wear, or mega vibration at any speed.

Rotate when they need it. Watch your tires, not your odo.

On new tires, rotation should been done every 3000 miles for the 1st 15,000 miles and then every 5000 there after.
