Default FS: 07 WRX 5 speed, broken 3rd

Hello again. I have an 07 WRX 5 speed with a busted third. I got this from a friend, and he took it to the dealership against my advice. They tore it apart, told him his third was busted and what it would cost to replace since warranty would not cover it, then handed him back a box of parts.

It is a complete tranny to the best of my knowledge.

With the recent MAJOR reduction in PPG prices, I figured this would be the time to get rid of it!

$200 OBO dropped off in the Bay area mid November, or you pay for shipping. Best part of shipping is, I can ship direct to Andrewtech/Builder of choice for you. I have a great rate on shipping, so it could even save you money.

Does the center diff and transfer gears from this trans work in the 2002 WRX? If so, i may be very interested. I recently disassembled the center diff and transfer gear section of my trans and found that the c-clip on the diff came out. I am trying to repair the damage with the least amount of cost incurred. Your box of stuff may have the exact parts i need at a great price!

No, the gearing is different. I am not sure whether the transfer gear is part of the center diff, but I know that the 02-05 WRX has a 1.1:1 transfer gear (3.90 x 1.1 = 3.54) and the 06-07 WRX has an 1.0:1 transfer gear (3.70 x 1.0 = 3.70)

I know the math is off, but you get the idea.

Best bet for you is probably to replace the clip, if possible. BUT, if you want to take this and send it to Andrewtech...
