Question Oil, Water, Fuel pump question

Does anyone know what the typical replacement times on the oil pump, water pump, and fuel pump are for a 2000 Impreza 2.5RS?

These items aren't listed in the Subaru maintenance guide, so I was just curious. Since they're not in the manual, maybe they never need replacement?

Thanks

Are you asking "what is the recommended replacement interval" or are you asking "how long does it take to replace it, labor time"?

There is no replacement interval for the Oil Pump, Water Pump, or the Fuel Pump, if that is your question. They are not considered "wear items".

Thanks for the info,
I was asking if Subaru recommended replacing these parts after a certain amount of mileage was on the vehicle. Since these are non-wear items like you said, I am relieved!

Does anyone know if it is common for these pumps to fail, and what happens if they do? If your oil pump failed, I would imagine serious problems to the engine because of lack of lubrication!

-Thanks

ok, the oil and fuel is a no wear parts, but i have to disagree on the water pump....try bringing your car in when you need a new timing belt and see what the service writer is going to tell you bout the water pump

Yeah, water pump should be replaced when timing belt is changed. The water pump is exposed when you change the timing belt is removed anyway.

We have 88 Loyales come in with 130,000 mile with the original oil pump.

Its kind of a judgement call. If you do regular oil changes you shouldn't have to worry.
