Default WTB 97-99 Legacy Outback tranny 5 speed

Looking to get a 5 speed tranny out of a 97-99 Outback. yes I know other years will work, but I am looking for a specific gear ratios that only the outbacks had.

Here are the three tranny codes that should be stamped on the tranny.

1997 TY752VACCA
1998 TY752V2DCA
1999 TY754VCACB

lower miles the better, no grinds or weird noises please. closer to portland the better

most outbacks were Auto's. I looked long and hard before I found my 99 5spd.

The closest I've got is a TY752VAAA.

It's listed as '94 Outback, but it came out of a Legacy L w/ +-140k on it, good working condition. Any interest in that for $250? Are you running hydraulic or cable clutch set up?

i'm running a cable clutch, but that's not the hard part. you can switch between cable and hydraulic at least in the NA trannys. it's all about the 5th gear ratio. the 97-99 outbacks had the lowest 5th gear available in a 5 speed.

it's going in my rally car, and need that little lower 5th to break that 100mph mark. right now i hit a brick wall when i shift to 5th.

not the one I'm looking for the RSs had a .780 5th gear and the outbacks had a .871, hence the reason i am holding out for an outback. i know it's not a big number change but every little thing helps.

but thanks for keeping your eye open for me.

Hi, how does a tranny with 102k on it and the sn: TY752VACCA do for you?

If you are interested, make me an offer.

Cheers,
Morgan
