Default Whats needed for a Turbo

Needs...
  • Turbo
  • Up Pipe
  • Down Pipe
  • Turbo Back Exhaust
  • Intercooler
  • Intercooller hoses
  • BPV/BOV
  • Turbo oil feed/return lines
  • Turbo water feed/return lines
  • Tuning of some sort
  • Injectors
This list is not exhaustive but with your guys help it can become a great resource to all the people asking what is needed to turbo a 2.5rs or 2.5i.

It's been said a million times, save yourself a huge headache and either trade the car in for a WRX, or swap a wrx or STI motor into it.

thats fine and thats your opinion...but also please show me where i said i was going to do it??? this is why good threads get closed because every damn person is a skeptic and every person thinks they are right and everyone else is wrong. WRX's STI's and other factory turbo models have their place...but so do RSTi's

Not if people are smart...people have gotten well over 40,000 miles on a N/A to Turbo engine. It just takes self control and not trying to run alot of boost.

Yeah 8lbs of boost and all the money you dump into a non turbo motor. It still won't make more than a WRX motor would have. And a WRX motor is much more reliable.
