Question Cel P0011/p0012

Ok,

So I've dug through the archives and read up on this a bit. Looks like there is supposed to be a problem with filtration in the AVCS...I've removed the bolts where these filters are located and they are just not there. Is this something that could have been fixed by Subaru during normal maintenance as a precaution? Or could the filters have been damaged enough to pass farther down into the line? The car is an '06 STi Cobb Stage II (catless) w/K & N Short Ram intake (37k miles). Mods were done about 10k ago with no problems until now. Oil changes have been performed religiously (2500 miles) and I don't drive the car like an ass-monkey. Any ideas on what the problem is? Aside from the loose nut behind the wheel.

Oh, and can the car be driven safely like this?

I've read in another thread of someone elses experience and it ended up he was just low on oil supposely, after adding oil he it took care of the problem he said.

I'll start with oil obviously.
