Default Window squeak

anyone ever had their window squeak real loud right when your raising it and its about fully up. I took apart the whole door today, lubricated the joints in the window assembly. and it worked fine. Put it all back together and shut the door and its doing it again...WTF anyone else have this anoying problem

It's where it meets the insulation in the door frame. I've fixed it by readjusting the insulation, or if you have the door apart make sure the window is mounted solid, not loosening. If it shifts it could do that.

I feel your pain, it's frickin annoying

Yea its probably the friction of the smooth glass against the resilient rubber insulation or weather stripping... if you have a light lube or oil or even a touch of tire shine on a rag or something that should do the trick. Try readjusting the strip or applying just a tad to the rubber, not the glass. Not very scientific though, haha, but good luck.

I'm lazy, so I had the dealer (Flemington) work on mine twice when I was under the 3/36 warranty.

Off-topic, but how is Flemington? I'm about halfway between them and Nitti's in Hamilton, and wondering who'd be better for something like a timing belt change.

Search the tri-state forum for a lot of great comments. Here's a story in Drive about their head tech. They work on all three of my Subes.

My driver's side window squeaks like crazy when I lower it. I've tried some lubrication on different parts inside the door but it hasn't helped much. I think I've gotten used to it though and I laugh when the loud squeaking freaks out my passengers.

its not the seals its in the door and gets worse when its hot. if you hold the door open and put pressure on the window pushing outward and roll up the window you can hear it
