Default car scratched in service

Took car in for 7500 mile service ended up getting it back two hours after quoted time. I didnt notice it was actually a deep scratch on the top of the platform till after six. I know it was done there and I have a slight suspicsion the reason that I was made to wait was because they knew they messed up and were stalling me out. They cuased me to be late for another appointment so I was in hurry to leave although I noticed the scratch I origionally dissmissed it as dirt run down from the terrible wash job they did.
Im going back first thing tomorrow morning....Any advice?

Good luck??? Depending on how that dealer is they may say it was always there especially since you waited till the next day to contact them, even more so if it is a deep scratch. My experience has been (especially with dealers) that if you dont catch a problem while you are there at the dealership (unless it is mechanical work that is under guarantee) then they will most likely deny any wrong doing.

Id say your best bet would be explaining how you were made late by them taking so long or something along those lines.

Thanks..
Well they did do a walk around before hand so they know it wasnt there before. Its just what they might say now. I understand they don't really know what I did after I left but the nature of the scrath is such that part of it required that the rear gate be up.....Say like if you were lubing the rear hatch or looking at the hatches hydrallic system as part of routine service......

Its worth a shot though if nothing you could probably get a free oil change or something out of it.

When I just purchased my '05 Si Hatch I took it in for warranty on the headlights. It was the only dealer within 2 hours so I really had no choice.

It comes back with a huge scratch on the passenger fender and hood. I know it wasnt there as I had the car about 4 weeks (Bought it off the showroom floor) and hand washed it every week since. They tried to get out of it but decided they would fix it. Someone just took touch up and did a really ****ty job of it too Almost wish they didnt so I could do it myself.
