Question DEFi Oil Pressure Sensor and sandwich adapter

My original post is below, but I couldn't get answers so I made a few phone calls and got the answer. Just in case someone finds themselves in a similar situation, and finds this thread the answer I got back was "Yes, it's just fine to use the DEFi pressure sensor in a sandwich plate adapter".
Pick

Here's the original:
"I am confused (as usual). I just bought several DEFi BF Amber gauges and one of them is oil pressure.

The problem is that the instruction book says to "find the existing oil pressure sensor" and replace it with the one provided. The guy I bought the car from apparently already had a sandwich adapter in for the Oil temp gauge.

So, the question is, do I need to replace the existing or is it OK to just throw it in the sandwich adapter and press?"
