OMGHi2U Differences between models and model year Subarus

For some reason we've never had one thread to deal with the differences between the WRX and STI or the 2003 and 2004 Forester. So that ends today!

http://www.cars101.com/ explains the differences between all Subaru models/years

List of differences between 2004 & 2005 STi

List of differences between 2005 & 2006 STI

If you see or know of any other threads here or on another forum that explains the differences, please PM me to add them.

I just found out that even though every other suspension component is the same on the 06-07 wrx and 06-07 2.5i THE FRONT SWAY BAR ON THE 2.5I IS DIFFERENT DUE TO THE EQUAL LENGTH HEADERS ON THE 2.5I!!! Anyone wanna buy a perrin 25mm front sway bar???LOL???

Default 2009/10 model years?

bump

So any updates for the 2009/10 models.
Cars101 is great but a simplified version, if available, would help time strapped noobs like myself.

Hello everyone,

I'm new to these forums and to Subaru vehicles, but I am planning to purchase a new 09 or 10 WRX in the next few weeks.

I compared specs of the Impreza WRX years 09 vs 10 using the PDFs from Subaru.com and noticed a difference with "Intake System". The 09 has max boost pressure of 13.3, and the 10 has max boost pressure of 14.2. Common sense tells me that more is better, but can anyone elaborate on how much difference this would make? Thanks.

I'm actually on the verge of pulling the trigger on a deal for an '07 Impreza SE Wagon but am actually having a little trouble finding the definitive answer to what features are included in the special edition (in Canada)

So far, what I've been able to come up with is: sunroof, heated seats, "premium" sound, 6 disk in dash mp3/wma compatible changer, AUX input, satellite radio, sport seats, rear disk brakes, climate control, fog lights and the always important chrome exhaust tips & upgraded rims

Additions or omissions?

I'm sure that cars101 does not discuss the fact that early 2006 models temporarily used plastic motor mounts - a practice that was QUICKLY discontinued, and I believe there was an SOA recall on this - make sure they're replaced when buying!
