Default Will a Turbo Legacy Radiator fit my 99 Legacy?

I am thinking about ordering a turbo Legacy Koyo Aluminum radiator for my 99 Legacy GT since nobody seems to make a radiator specifically for the 97-99 body style.

Does anyone know if they will fit? I tried and RS radiator and it was about 3" too tall and about 3 inches too narrow on each side.

Thanks
Brad

It probably won't fit, but I'm almost certain that an STI radiator will. You may look on your local classifieds and see if anyone has a spare, then have them measure it and compare it to yours. I know the 00-04 Legacy has the same size as the STI.

On the other hand, I just got a cheap $135 replacement for mine instead of buying a used one for $100...

turbo legacy like 05-08 LGT or 90-94 SS or touring wagon?

If you mean the old one then I am pretty sure it will fit.

For the new one i believe at the least you would need to get a different inlet hose.

By turbo Legacy I did mean 91-93.

I am open to anything that will fit my 99 GT. I still have the stock radiator. I really don't want to use it because I ran Head Gasket sealer through it. Ive flushed it out a few times but it never fails, there is always a clump of that sealer that comes out.

I'm really wondering what people have tried that works.

From a 91-93, maybe. Anything '99 and newer will not fit. Totally different. Kawaikid is right on new cars having different hoses, but they also a different coolant crossover pipe, so even with the right hose for the radiator, it won't fit.

As a rule of thumb for anything subaru, if it fits, it works, if it doesn't, it'll be TOTALLY wrong so you can't c0ck up and use the wrong piece anyway...

i didnt realize the water pipe was different on the newer cars by that much, but the intake manifolds are really different to so maybe they changed the design together seeing as how they have to fit in the same area.

Well it's off by like 30 or 40 or so. If the simple water pipe is wrong, i don't know what else would be... Just find the right radiator for the car.
