Default 07 STI Headlight leveler motor problem

So, I was driving down the freeway and had trouble seeing so I was wondering wat was wrong... so I messed with the headlight leveler switch and noticed that only the driver side was moving, and the passenger side was at the lowest setting (cant see far away).
So i took my headlight off the car today to do some voltage testing and found that there is power going to the motor, the ground is fine, and the signal wire is working fine, but the motor isnt turning. I tried to manually adjust the headlight beam and that failed....I then took the motor assembly apart and found a bunch of gears driven by the motor so I messed around with that a little.
SO, im guessing that the motor burned out? Anyone know if you can buy the leveling motor by itself? Or do I have to buy a whole new headlight assembly? My car has 14k miles...was working fine and then just decided to crap out on me...any help would be great!. Cuz if I have to get a whole new assembly, im gonna be pissed cuz I have to repaint it all again >.< Its been about 12k miles since I painted my lights and had no problems till now!

sounds like the motor has gone bad... why not try to see what a few dealerships say... they might not even notice the painted lights...

My motor busted on my '06... dealer couldn't figure it out and warranty'ed the entire assembly. I didn't clear my lights though, that might be a prob, and they might put the fault on you.

If you haven't modded your headlights, this will be covered under warranty.

Yeah, sadly, I modded my headlights...im gonna try going to a hobby store and see if they sell a similar sized motor and then im gonna try to solder one in myself. Somehow when I took it all apart, I got the headlights to go back to its normal level....motor still doesnt work on the headlight. Its not a big problem...just one of those things that piss you off I guess lol.
