First thing I did when I saw this was laugh but it does look better than the v1 DIY lip. Nice effort!

i really like how that looks, im curious to see what it will look like on a bugeye, someone post some pics! I'm not sure it will work too great with the 02/03 bumpers because its not level all the way across and the middle section is very thin, but hopefully im wrong

wow I really really like this! My bugeye is coming back to me freshly painted in a few weeks and want to protect my bumper now that I'm lowered much more than before (old eibachs, new coilovers ). BUMP for the pics on a bugeye!

Wow, I didn't realize how well this would go over. I LOVE the way it looks, but I wasn't sure if it was just my own biased opinion.

Well, 90% of that was already there when I bought the car, but I did add a little to it myself when I didn't see the drainage dips soon enough.

I mean, what scrapes?

dude, SICK!! much cheaper than a ChargeSpeed lip or the STi Limited lip! i can't believe that's garage door rubber trim. i say that may be better for rocks, it won't crack or have "paint" issues!

I don't think it'd look that great on bugeye... it would cover those brake ducts on the front bumper...

That's fantastic looking. I bought the parts to do the v1 like a year ago for my 07, but convinced myself I wouldn't like it - especially because the bumper is very beveled. This may be the answer. Awesome work!!

Someone needs to do this on an 06-07 and post some pics. How flexible is this stuff? The 06-07 front end is not flush like the 04-05. I would do it but they dont sell this stuff where I live.

I found out by chance that different stores in the chain carry different
products. Try another store or order it online if you really want it.

Here are some pics with a clean car and better lighting.
I'm still working out the evenness of the lip, but unless your looking up close, straight on, from down low, it's not noticable. I have some ideas on how to make the next one better. This one's just for testing.

Definitely going to try this next week sometime! Did you have to do any extra drilling to get the lip to stay on, and stay even?

By the way - I love the overall look of your car. Very well done.

nice work mobutusan. it looks very good and not very ghetto. at least on line. i've never really liked the diy lip, but i like that.

can you post a picture of how it looks at the end where it meets the wheel well? is exposed and looks like the cross-section (minus the block of course, which btw, is an awesome touch).

oh, is this paintable? and bump for someone to do it on a gc.
