Default Sti cluster swap

I know there is one on here already but i didnt see one for the STI to 02 wrx swap. Maybe i wasnt paying attention but i really need some info on this as im sure others do. I know it isnt a direct plug in but i dont know the specifics. Any legit info on this?

Buy an 04 STi cluster. It will plug and play. The only thing that will be wonky is the Rear Diff warning light. I think you can ground it, otherwise...put some tape over it and call it a day.

If you buy an 05 or up there are more things involved. Look at post 5 in the link above as an example.

I just did an '05 into a '02 swap. its not terribly difficult the only thing that still hasn't been ironed out is the outside temp light. Look for my posts in the link above. the only difference between 04 and 05 cluster is the ABS light needs a little rewiring to make it work correctly.

mostly its cutting two wires and shaving a little lip on one of the plugs.
