Lightbulb 98 2.5 RS/ STi motor and tranny swap

So a week ago I bought a 98 RS with 100000 miles I have just a 10 month loan but I am interested in doing a WRX/STi swap. With all the different engine codes and transmission codes I am curious to see if the 03 04 and up engines and trannys will swap into the RS bodies. The rs turbo kits and a tranny build are almost as expensive as just buying the STi engine and tranny together. I would be doing all the wrench work so im not concerned bout a big shop bill. Anyone have some good info on this and what it requires to complete a swap or even a better way to research it because i have tried a few forums with no good info buy searchin threads. I am selling my 90 300ZX TT to buy the engine and tranny if possible. Not a good car for WI weather.... Please don't flame me.. just looking for some simple answers...

I can get it for less than $1000, but it isn't a great motor. No parts really for it. I would suggest swapping a USDM engine in it.

^+1 for that. the twin turbo will not fit the usdm cars because the steering shaft gets in the way.
