Default When will 2003 WRX arrive?

All the talk is about STI.

I'm also interested in WHEN the 2003 WRX will arrive.

And

Are there any changes anticipated to the 2002 WRX for 2003?

In other words, do I:

1) Buy 2002 WRX now?
2) Wait for 2003 WRX in say Sept.?
or
3) Wait and try to get a 2003 STI in March of next year?

I'm not sure I will get the value out of the STI. The WRX may be about all I need.

I would guess sept for the my2003
as for the sti, well thats a personal thing, if you want to wait till next year and you really need all of that extra stuff, and you have 35 grand, and you can afford the surely to be insane insurance then wait. if not, i would get a my02 now at a cheaper price. I doubt there will be any changes for next years model

New model years are usually introduced in late August/early September, but when its all new model like the Impreza redesign they will often release it earlier in the year.

Just what I was thinking, but needed validation. (I realize we are both making assumptions.)

Thanks!

I visited the dealer last weekend to enquire about 2003's and STI.

The dealer said he had been to SOA HQ and they will be getting 1700 STI's released March 03. No price or specs yet though.

2003 will be unchanged from 2002 and will be released in Sept '02.

The dealership manager said he was one of Subaru's top dealers in the USA (don't know how true that is!) and if I was to buy a 2002 WRX now that it will still be worth the same value in two years down the road as this years 2003 model.

Why do you believe this? Have you heard of this happening to other types of cars; for example, 98 Accord is worth the same as a 99 Accord? Doesn't happen.

Maybe he meant that a 2 year old 2002 WRX would be worth the same as a 2 year old 2003 WRX.
