Default 205/50/16 vs. 205/55/16 tire size

I bought a set of wheels, but realized they came with 205/50/16 size tires as oppose to OEM 205/55/16 size. Are there the implications of having 50 sized tire? pros/cons?

Thank you

The effectively shorter final drive will make your tranny happy.

Just make sure you keep the pressures up in those tires, as they are probably not load-rated for the GVW of your WRX.

shouldn't be a problem. I run that size on my 2002 WRX. Theres advantages in effective gearing and weight. It looks just a bit goofy with smaller tires but its a blast to drive.
