$500 a day is the max i believe for most banks and most customers.

edit: im not sure i agree with brucelee needing another gun either. just a hunch. maybe he's only getting a scope, not sure if that makes the situation better at all though

Most gun stores around me have a price, then a cash price. The cash price usually about 5-10% lower than the tagged price. I can't tell you why they do that though, maybe it simplifies things?

Tax evasion.

on a related note, E*Trade Bank lets you take out $1000, or if you call they can increase that number to whatever you like for a 24hr period. It comes in clutch when some fish pulls his 1-outer at 3am at the poker table.

I have long wondered if that was the case. I assumed no because they have to report sales to the Feds as well as the state police. Not exactly the IRS, but the sales info is still out there.

Yes, but with a cash sale, there is nothing to say (except if the customer turns his recipt into the IRS, or is the IRS) exactly what the vendor received...in other words, they could claim no profit.

On the other hand, gun people just like cash it's real, it's there, and can't be taken back (as can happen with checks or credit cards) in the electronic realm.

Royal Bank ATMs used to dispense $5 bills, which was great for us poor students when we'd have $17 in the account I once withdrew $500...and got one hundred $5 bills. That one balla' wad of bills...just wrap a fiddy around the outside...

You can get 200,000 baht a day limit from the ATM's here, the most i have experienced anywhere in the world.
That's around $6,200 a day.

It's handy when you need it.
