Has anyone yet installed an HKS type 1 in there 08 yet? And if so is there a harness made yet? or did you hardwire?

Thanks

I got it for more of an accessory, than a necessity.

you are literally wasting money

it won't do anything to help you and installing it may lead to problems

I don't know how to install one, I would assume you follow the directions or search google

He ALREADY HAS IT so dont say its a waste. You should stay on topic or not post at all. It is not a waste of money, you DO NOT need it for daily driving, but if you are RACING your car a lot its good to have a 30 second cool down before killing the engine, it will perserve turbo life.

You can also drive normally for a bit after racing, but a turbo timers nice if you are in a rush.

even if you're "racing" the car, a turbo timer is still useless on a 2008 subaru impreza WRX or STi -- they designed it to never need to be "left running to cool down" or anything. read the manual. it specifically explains why you don't need a turbo timer or "cool down time."

you should be more worried about letting the turbo warm up and the addeed weight of the turbo timer equipment. if you're in a rush then chances are you're not racing it, you're just flying down the street to your house and parking in the driveway... which isn't enough to get the turbo that hot.

trust me. turbo timers are just useless bling.
