Default Finally dyno'ed by slow turbo Outback (VID)

Nothing much to brag about here, just thought I would share a car that most of you probably haven't seen anything like before. It's my daily beater, a lil hybrid Outback that has some potential that needs to be unlocked. This was my baseline run just to get a feel where the car stands before installing a standalone EMS. The motor is a hybrid EJ25D/EJ22T 2.4L destroker with 440cc injectors, VF8 turbo, WRX topmount and catless 3" exhaust. The ECU is a stock OBD1 EJ22T unit that is unscaled for the larger injectors and there is no DIY tuning available for it.
The dyno results were 170 whp at 4600 rpm and 200 wtq at 3100 rpm using only 90% throttle to avoid fuel cut. My AFRs were filthy rich, peaking at 10.1 in the upper RPM. With proper injector scaling and timing control the car should make quite a bit more power.

Thanks, its not super fast but its fun, and should be a WRX killer with a tune. Its nothing like the monster builds that usually pop up on NASIOC so I'm not expecting much of a response, but shes mine and I've got very little money into it so I think I win at the "smiles per gallon" category.

No way I'll swap this, it will probably be a WRX killer with a tune on the hybrid motor.

kinda irrelevant, but i like the way the car sits... not slammed, but with equal space all around the wheel

Thanks, they had it strapped down but the front gap is correct, the rear does sit a little bit higher usually. I hated how it was stock, the Outback heavy duty springs made the front sit way up. I just put the stock springs from my 2.5RS as well as the upper spring perches onto the front of the wagon and left the rear alone and now its got a good rake to it. Its on KYB GR2 shocks as well.

How many lbs of boost are you running?

I would expect a little more with being boosted.....I'm running 180 on a n/a EJ25D

11psi, I have an 8:1 CR so theres really no power unless the car is in boost. It needs a tune really bad, I have no doubt that will really wake it up.
Curious how your making 180 whp from a motor that was only rated 165 to the crank stock. Thats an increase of probably about 80 wheel hp. Must be major head work, higher CR, 2WD conversion (LOL) or something drastic along those lines.

Ug there are some floating around, I'll post some up soon. In the meantime I picked up a MegaSquirt EMS and I'm gonna be grabbing some forged EJ22T pistons and rods tomorrow. I think I'll build a closed-deck EJ22T motor as a spare to put in if this guy ever decides to kick the bucket on me.
