Default Whos gonna take the road trip to subiefest '08?

so with high hopes that my car will be swapped by subiefest, me and my friend were kinda thinking about taking the hell of a road trip down there. from our place to there (Rosamond) is 1,031 miles......one way. and 16 hours of driving, not including traffic. anyone else thinking of doing that drive?

I'm pretty sure my gf and I are in for the drive... I wanted to book a hotel room but she's still on the fence about it. We'll have a better idea when summer rolls around

i will for sure be making this drive as well as three to five other cars of mostly subaru origin.
but i might be going a bit early to make it down for pinks all out. ( someone elses idea )

i was wishing subiefest 3 was at the begining of summer so i wouldn't end up feeling that i wasted it waiting for the moment haha

I've been talking to friends about a road trip, and what better to do on a roadtrip then to visit subiefest?
I think I will actually be down for the drive.

Trying to figure out a place to stay down and around the track, at the same time I'm holding out to see if there will be some sort of group discount on a room. Gonna have to take Monday of as well, but my answer is still yes. Anyone got any info on room rates down there??

Contemplating, but haven't committed. It's a hell of an expense for a guy on my budget.

Hmmmm I may have to sit this one out to save some $$. In choosing between watching other people drive their cars on the track and driving our FFR cobra at Willow Springs in October, I'm going to have to go with the latter.

Club Sil, you probably want to look at places in Lancaster for the best value. The track is in the middle of nowhere. We rented a motorhome when we went and stayed in the parking lot.

Cheers to y'all. Take some great pictures & video.

I'm considering going down the week prior to subiefest (Leaving the 31st of August) and going to disneyland, universal studios and whatever else there is to do down there and then hitting subiefest the 7th, and heading home. Anyone interested in doing that?

I'm definately going to be driving. It will be nice to spend some time in my car with the gt40. Plus it will be fun to show it off down there. What are you guys doing?

I am sure as hell going. Went to the first and second and am sure as hell going to be at the third. When is everybody planning on leaving for the drive down? I think a nice leisurely pace would be to leave Friday morning and arrive Saturday evening then leave Monday morning get back Tuesday evening.

Whats everyone else thinking? I'm sure theres going to be a bit more time added if we're going to be meeting up with people along the way down.
