Default 235/45/17's on OZ Prodrive P1's?

I bought 4 used Bridgestone ls-z tires 235/45/17's for $100, will they fit my wheels or not? They are the 17". A guy at discounttires said they would fit but I would have to lower the tire pressure a little to get them to sit flat. Thanks!

Yes they are 17X7"
I've got 225/45/17s on my P1s. They stick out a bit, but not bad. I don't see a problem putting the 235s on there, as a friend of mine has 225s on his 6.5" stock rims.

yes they are 17x7. I wanted to use them for track use. Right now I have ****ty federal all seasons on there with good tread, so I figured the bridgestones would benefit my handeling for minor track duty.

Will it benefit handeling or be unsafe?

Thanks for all the help!

The minimum recommended rim width is 7.5" so the sidewalls are going to be squishy. You'll probably need to run increased pressure at the track to keep them from rolling over onto the sidewalls.

235/45-17 Rim Width Range...... 7.50 to 9.00

squishy sidewalls
irregular wear
tramlining
reduced steering response
reduced contact patch

not really a good fit
