Default 235/45/17's on OZ Prodrive P1's?

I bought 4 used Bridgestone ls-z tires 235/45/17's for $100, will they fit my wheels or not? They are the 17", and the tires came off of stock 04 sti wheels so I assumed that they would. A guy at discounttires said they would fit but I would have to lower the tire pressure a little to get them to sit flat. Any truth to this? Thanks!

The 04 STi wheels are actually 17x7.5 so those 235s will be a tight fit on the 17x7s. Conventional wisdom says 225 is the max recommended for 17x7s but people do run 235s for autocross and track days. So yes they will probably fit but it definately won't be optimal.

235/45 won't quite give you the low profile tire look either. Most people opt for 40 series when getting tires that wide.
