Default The Carbon Fiber Thread

For you Carbon Fiber Fanatics! If you have anything CF on your car post it in here with a pic of the CF parts and how difficult the install was.. Also write about any other CF parts you might want.

I suppose I'll contribute.

This is a HORRIBLE picture (you can click it to see it slightly larger) that shows the little CF I have on my car, but I guess I'll use it as a placeholder until I get some better ones:

Not really into CF, although I think it looks great when done right. The only things I have right now are the CF OEM replica front lip, CF sidemarkers, and the interior trim. I figure if I ever go with a setup that requires a FMIC, I'd do an RS CF hood, and probably a trunklid to match. Maybe someday.

I have the Seibon CF OEM style hood, Apr CF mirrors and the Seibon CF doors.

The hood was of course simple as well as the APR mirrors... however the doors were definitely more complicated. Must have prior experience working with that sorta thing if you want to come out of that job looking good.

I plan to get:

CF trunk
CF bumpers (possibly CF wide body kit)
CF side skirts
CF roof piece
CF roof vane
CF vortex generator
CF Wing
CF gas door
CF guage bezel
CF clock replacement
CF inside door handles
and 05 RS black CF style stitched interior swap.

LOL! Basically I plan to have a complete CF car....lol.

here are some pics of my car....

This thread is hard to damage.

I has a CF lip, markers, interior kit, cusco CF rear STB, and CF photofinished amplifier (Phoenix Gold Octane Ltd. Ed.) as well as all carbon patterned vinyl trim on my door panels and trunk. And a carbon fiber and titanium wedding ring.

No pics today. Slow connection.

Good luck with your build. Looking good.

P03w

PS- I did a pretty realistic looking CF paint job on an aluminum bike once... you should think about doing something like that when you repaint the non-cf parts. PM me if you want the details on how to do it.
