Default 5Zigen FNO1RC or Rota Tarmac 3

5Zigen FNO1RCs-Silver, 18x7.5, Falken Azenis tires with 75%+ tread left-$875 shipped

Rota Tarmac IIIs-Bronze, 18x8, Pirelli Pzero Neros with 10,000 miles on them-$800 picked up

I can't decide which set to get. I somewhat like the Tarmac look more than the FNO1RC look but at the same time I feel as though Rota is well... cheap. I still like the way the FNO1RCs look too and honestly wouldn't mind having either set of wheels but I just need some opinions I guess for some help.

Was not trying to be.
Sorry if I came off that way.

I see why you are having a hard time with this thou.

That being said I would go with the Rotas as they are 8"s wide and will be able to hold a wider tire later on when you need new tires. And I like the look of them better my self.

Plus you can pick them up so no waiting for them to come or worry about shipping problems or if you will ever get them (seller problems) and such.

Later.

I'd go with the 5zigen's with azenis.

Although, with a silver car...a different color wheel would really offset the whole package.

here's the FNO1RC's in silver on a bugeye

Argh, such a tough time and no worries badmunky. The FNs looks great on that bugeye. The big turn off for me from the FNs right now are the fact that they're 7.5" wide. I was hoping for an 8" wide wheel and the Tarmacs fit that perfectly. For some reason I can't shake the feeling though that Rotas are the cheap way out with wheels. I've heard great things about 5zigen and once again I really dig the way they look. Though I was talking to my friend and we both agreed that the FNs would probably look a lot better on a car like the RX-7, Miata, 240, etc... etc... And with the Tarmacs, like someone else said, I can just pick them and the seller is going to meet me half way if I pick them up.

8" wide > 7.5" wide. I'd get the FNs if they were 8.5" wide....

5 Zigens are hard to find especially in bronze. I've been trying to find some 18x8.5s 5x114s for some time now and everybody is out of them

i wouldn't waste my time with anything but an 8" wheel on a WRX

even though 18" is too large diameter IMHO..

I have a bugeye with FNO's and azenis and it looks really good. plus those tires are sticky-icky man.. and expensive. Since you said theres 75% tread life left i'd probably roll on those. but then again i have them so im kind of biased.

^^^ then again that extra half-inch makes a big difference.. this is a tough choice. i'd say looks, go with the FNO's/ performance go with the rotas cause you can always put different tires on later. my 2 cents.
