Default Agency Power GT35R Turbo Kit Subaru WRX/STI with TMIC

Hi

We are trying to install a GT35R Turbo in a 2007 STI with a large TMIC have got the problem that the Uppipe and the Downpipe push the turbo to a position where we are not anymore able to install the TMIC. The TMIC does not enough space to fit in the intake manifold.

Accroding to Agency Power it should be possible to use the Turbo with a TMIC:

http://www.agency-power.com/catalog/agen...ti-p-12109.html

We have tried to install the turbo with the OEM TMIC but it doesn't work to.

It would be great if some of you could post some pictures with a GT35r with a TMIC.

Find below a couple of picutre showing the problem.

Thanks for you help.

Best

We've some very restrictive law rules here. I'd like to have two set ups: one with a FMIC and one without.

Agency Power stuff doesnt have the best overall "fitment" nor are their directions anything close to accurate.

you may have to have some piping adjusted (if you shortened the length of the upipe would that help? ie cut and reweld. the dpipe should have enough play it appears the upipe is the culprit. maybe find a way to lower the headers? (spacer??)....or run FMIC only. cuz that doesnt look fun.

does the hood shut right with the tmic off center?

First of all I wanted to find out before we start to shortened something.

The problem with shortening the uppipe or the downpipe is that if you adjust one you need to adjust the others too.

The hood shut is fine.

Agency Power stuff is made by Vivid Racing whom is banned from this site.
Doesn't surprise me that the kit doesn't fit right. They didn't care about the enthusiasts enough when they were vendors here, what makes you think they are gonna care enough about the products to quality control what they sell to us. Sorry you got screwed. I would suggest getting a turbo kit that was engineered correctly.

Im sure it was correctly engineered. AP is still in business so I doubt they suck. I've been here since the dawn of time and so have you :P Yes some things Vivid does sucks and yes AP stuff isn't the best but it works.

to the OP- I would try clocking turbo down a bit to clear some room. or just suck it up and go FMIC

I have contacted AP and they are going to send me some new tubes with an installation guide how to make the TMIC fit. However I'm not sure yet if with additional tubes the TMIC is going to fit since the position of the Uppipe and Downpipe can't be changed.

In terms of clocking or rotating the compressor housing could you please give me some additional information what we need to do. Do we need to make changes to the Uppipe or Downpipe?
