Default Just oredered new tires....

Ordered a set of Falken ziex 912 from http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...%2FPerformance

Negotiated pricing and got a set for total price of 342.00 with warranty shipped. I didnt want the warranty but he explained that i dont have to send in the damage tires, just call them giving a reason and they send me a new one without any hassell for free.

Anyone ever used a online tire warranty b4? I was originally thinking it was a waste of money.

I read alot of reviews some good/some bad mostly good though. Planning on buying a set of winter tires in oct.

I would have went to tirerack but they don't sell falkens.

wow discounttires suck at pricing.. look at edgeracing.. maybe about 15bucks cheaper per tire for that size you were looking for

otherwise, support a local vendor.. i'm sure they'd really appreciate your business=)

there cheap tires with decent reviews imo for now. Its not like im using them for auto x. If i wanted track tires i would of bought R coupounds. These are just replacement shoes for summer cruzing with higher treadlife.

BTW edgeracing was 354 shipped for the same tire. I paid less then that, as stated above.

i have 912's, very decent DD tires. they were in heavy rain & fine in light snow. better than kumho ASXs imo.

Lol, make up your mind.

But yeah, SPT is a nice tire. You should be plenty happy with it. My bro runs these on his FXT. For an all-around tire, they are quite good plus they're dirt cheap and love the rain...not to mention quiet, nice riding, decently grippy, and can actually tolerate a few auto-x events without a lot of tread loss.

Just copped some Toyo Proxes 4s from them...$371.60 shipped. Would've ordered from the Rack if they had them. Going to get em mounted Sunday.

Had the Proxes4 before, a decent all-around performance tire that's insensitive to low temps. The compound's a little hard for my liking, makes for high pitch squealing around corners. The tread tears off rather than melts off when driven hard. It makes it not get greasy, but the tread goes away quickly. The tire has very good hydroplaning resistance. Grip level drops a little on wet, but it remains stable. The traction limit is rather abrupt. There is very little play area at the limit. Basically, it's a wall you hit and you don't get any more grip, not as progressive and adjustable as other tires.

I could say I like the SPT better for a budget tire, but they are quite a bit different in feel and character. However, the SPT is a step up in most ways.

cool.. ya what i meant was that the cost for retailers to get this stuff is relative, so they're all pretty much similar.. you can get 'em from whomever you want if you're looking for the best deal.. but what i was also trying to say was that it's also cool to support the vendors here=)

I've had Kumho SPT tires and liked them a lot. Not sure why Proxes 4 and SPT are being compared when SPT is a high performance summer tire.
