Default Haka 2 winter tires?

Just obtained a set of 04 BBS wheels and Nokian Haka 2 winter tires (7/32"). Just wondering how good of winter tires are these? I am debating whether to keep these or trade for cheap AS/summer tires.

Are these over-rated tires or definitely worth keeping until the winter?

Noticed tires have holes; do I need to buy studs and put them in there? How does "Eco stud system" work exactly?

The tires need to be studded when they're new. They can't be studded after being driven. At least that's what the tire guys told me at two seperate places.

I have Hakka2's on my scooby and Hakka4's on the wife's GTI...totally nasty winter tire. Keep'em!

studs aren't necessary for colorado winters, let alone ny winters

unless you find yourself driving on ice day in and day out, studs are unnecessary.
