Default 1998 Legacy 2.5GT wagon for sale

* Name: Mary
* Location: Sumter, SC
* Means of Contact: daisysi16@hotmail.com, AIM - daaisysi, or PM for phone

* Vehicle Year/Make/Model: 1998 Subaru Legacy 2.5GT wagon
* Miles: 121k
* Price: $4500, negotiable
* Title: Salvage or Clear? Clear

- Engine: 2.5 four cylinder boxer, stock
- Interior: Dark grey
- Exterior: Teal green
- Stereo & Nav: Aftermarket cd player
- Suspension: Stock

The Good: Runs good, a/c blows cold, new power antenna, awd works well, has has timing belt and headgaskets done (headgaskets leaking are common issue on these motors). I get about 24 mpg in the city, 27 mpg on the highway.

The Bad: Dent in rear bumper/liftgate, exhaust manifold shield makes rattling noise, will likely need a clutch within the next 10k miles.

Would make a great EJ20 or STi swap candidate!

It just so happens I cleaned it and took some pictures

Damage to the rear - it needs a rear bumper cover (not sure about the absorber or impact bar, but reasonably sure they're okay) and the dent removed from the liftgate, and repaint.

I think this is the first time that I have ever seen a car identical to mine. Bump for a great, practical, and cheap car. Good luck on the sale.

The last Subaru wagon I bought, (a then ten year old Loyale), was in about the same condition, but cost only $3,100, has the average cost really gone up this much?

The Loyale had a sticker price of ~ $14k new. The '98 Legacy GT was ~$25k new.
It sounds like a much better deal to me.

I recall saying I was negotiable, and in my area, yeah, my price is about average. I've seen several with higher miles going for more money. Of course, I don't know what they actually sold for, but the asking price was closer to $6k.
