Default Rattling After Up-pipe Install

Just installed my Invidia Uppipe this weekend. Install went okay with help from ScobbyMods. Drove it today and while in gear, if I let off the gas, I hear a rattle under the car or in the engine compartment. I remember tighten everything down to torque. Any ideas of what this could be???

I did lift the motor to get the stock uppipe out. But torque back the nut I took off.

Or it could be the downpipe, but I remember tighten all the bolts back. I had the downpipe install for 6 months now and didnít have this issue.

Will recheck everything when I get home later. Doesn't seem to be any Leaks.

Mods... Invidia Uppipe, Invidia Downpipe, STi Exhaust, OST Stage 2 Map

Maybe one of the heatshields on your manifolds or something, I have one rattling now but i will be installing a new up pipe in a week or 2 along with a downpipe so it will be taken care of then.

Now that I think about it, it not like a rattling noise, more like the whole motor is shaking, but I can't see how that would happen if I only took off 1 bolt, lifted the motor about 1 inch, took out the uppipe, lowered the motor, tighten back the 1 bolt.

I'll check the bracket later, but had a friend jump in the car with me at lunch and it seems to be an exhaust leak from downpipe to midpipe. I don't remember tighten down the string bolt all the wait like I did the first time.

thanks

sounds like a loose heat shield. Is the up-pipe all you did? I was going to say, if you did a bigger tbe you might be rubbing somewhere and just need some harder and/or longer hangers.

After searching around, It sounds like I have the "Decel Noise Problem" Has anyone fixed this. Never heard about this till now. Car has 50k and only doing it after the uppipe install. Well going to try the Tire inflation thing... 34 Front and 30 Rear.... I guess the Uppipe install was good, tires must have lost air somewhere in the install... Hopefully this will fix it.

Finally got around to look under the car and it was just the Downpipe bracket. Found the bolt and put it back it. You wouldn't think that one missing bolt, especially the downpipe bracket would cause so much noise, but it does, now everything is good.

Thanks
