The following are the dates for upcoming gravel/snow autocrosses:
Event 4: Sunday, March 17th, 2002 Event 5: Sunday, March 31st, 2002 Event 6: Sunday, April 14th, 2002 Events #2 through #6 will be counted as official towards the Calgary Sports Car Club Autocross Championship for the year, with minimum attendance being 3 of the 5 events. (results from the January event to be posted shortly, as well as up to date standings) Additional dates may be scheduled. FOR ALL EVENTS: Location: Race City Speedway, Large Gravel Spectator Parking lot Registration and Tech open at 9:00am, Mandatory Drivers Meeting at 10:00am. Entry Fees, payable at registration (cash or cheque): $15 for members of the Calgary Sports Car Club, $20 for non-members Roadworthy vehicle and approved Helmet required to run. Classes: 2 wheel drive with 2.0L and smaller engines 2 wheel drive with over 2.0L engines and 4 wheel drive Minimum of four official runs, course maps provided on site. I would like to run in these however I don't have a helmet yet. What are the requirements of the helmet?

Snell 90 or newer, M or SA rated. The club does have loaner helmets available as well.

How serious are these events? Could you show up in a 1978 olds delta 88 and still compete?
I do not belong to any car club and do not plan to devote much of my limited free time - I just want to have fun! I would be interested - depending... |

As long as the wheels aren't going to fall off or anything, battery is tied down you can come out and run. Its only as serious as you make it. If your just out to have fun then you can have fun, if you want to really beat on the car and try and win you can do that too
