Post car wash love hate story

I just got my car washed for 10 dawlas. I work at a dealer and can have my car done full detail for 20. But only if the bad bad boss is not there and the good good detailer is. It has to be after 6pm with a three-hour window till 9, and I have to be off work, and the detailer has to be free and no cars sold to be washed.

So this month its a no go. My car is as dirty as a pigs as$. I figure a few more days my water spots will be a fashion statement. The sunroof will be filled shut with crap and leaves. I look like I have anthracite rims up front and a dull aluminum in back. Riding on one curb smudged stock tire while they all have marks from the roll overs.

Its been 2 weeks since my car has been getting real bad. I don't even want to be seen going to the clubs let alone getting checked out some rice loving hotties on the street. while I drive by my Windex wanted 35% tinted windows are up praying no one to see me. But I catch their eye, their face says it all "poor car! That bastard!!" This goes on for weeks.

My friend that won the last local car show told me bout this place he goes by our house. I think that will be the day I let someone I donít know clean my car.

Days keep passing by, as I look to the sky its gray with Hawaiiís rain. Its no sense to wash it these days. The days I am free its so hot the water will evaporate b 4 the hood scoop can even get wet. Water spots like a leopard looks to be my faith.

Then the other day b 4 work I am at my local 7-11 picking me up some nice Arizona drinks. Across the street there is a car wash I pass everyday. So I ask the dude "how much for a wash?" he says "$10 for a wash and vacuum." I was expecting $20 for just a wash and am impressed. I go to work debating if I should have them do it. The Chinese side takes over and I wonder if its fees able to have them do it. I can save another 20 if I do the wax and dressing my self. I have everything at home, just nowhere to wash my car. So I wait till my day off to see if I can do it my self.

My day off comes and the noon sun is so hot my ride needs sun block. To make it worse my gfs black golf needs to be done b4 I can even start to think of mine. So its now or never. Just thinking of the lovely looks I will get from the hotties and the nods from other car enthusiast. All of it makes my 25 bucks worthwhile.
I take her her golf down first. Leaving it, thinking it will be butchered. I come back and the 1yr old coke stain on the passenger seat is almost gone. The hairline marks are not that bad nothing that was never there b4 just a bit more. Its nothing my heavy-duty wax canít take out. I think well worth the clams.
Now my car is there but I get there a bit late my car has to wait there is someone already in the wash. So I talk to the owner. Bad move I should of taken off. This fine lady comes pulling in a blazer. The owner smiles and asked when I need my car back. Like a idiot I say in an hour, I really needed it back in 30 minutes. I figure I canít get the boss mad it is my baby I am leaving in his hands. I leave thinking my ride will be done soon.

I get back my car is just getting started. The owner says ď10 minutesĒ. I need to pick up my sister from school, but 10 minutes isnít that long but I know it will take about 20 or more. I sit and watch like a pigeon looking at a Mcdís fry. Then they start on the wash, 3 guys nailing my car. I think it will be done fast. They soap my car with that thing connected to the hose that is used to do yards with weed killer. The suds look great I can see the dirt running down like cum on a whores lip and chin. The guys pull out these wool mitts they could use new ones, I hope they are rinsed. They all start off good, moving the mitt form front to back with the lines of the car. Then 2 of them start going side to side and up and down losing the front to back messing up the flow of the wash. I cringe wanting to tell them to stop. I feel the shiver shooting down my body as I pray its not as bad as I thinking. They rinse the car.

My face drops they pull out squeegees to dry my car. The squeegees are soft auto body squeegees that are sold to detailers but I know if used wrong they could cause some damage. I bit my lip again. The worse part comes up they pull out bath towels to dry the windows but then again I get a shock they use it to wipe the rest of the MY car. I wanna pull out my absorber but I donít wanna insult incase I need to come back. And thatís a big IF. I wait thinking it wonít be that bad. Now that I think about it 0ne of towels looks like the one that was on my gfs floor as a floor mat after it was washed. I hope not!

They are finally done. My nightmare is over. I do a quick walk around the car. The polish from my race numbers still cling to the paint. There is no way to remove them that I know. I look to my surprise there is no swirls. I am shocked the car god was watching me. I run to pick up my sister. Now next thing to do after is wax and put dressing on my hoop ride.

I pull out the wash lot with a clean ride and some drips flying out of the side mirrors. I hang a turn forgetting the tires are still wet I do a little drift. Looking in my rear making sure no cops saw. I head to the free way getting a couple of stoplights. Once again I get happy stares as people take envy in my RS. A girl gives me a smile. I canít roll down my window theyíll get spots. (A clean car still can suck.) But for some reason a clean car makes u go faster. I pull off the line and up it to 2nd and 3rd. hanging another turn going to the freeway. Hitting 70. It feels so good!!!! i fly on H-1 Hawaii's free way. picking up my sister and heading back into town. I think my car is humming saying thank you. I think our cars have real feelings. And I just made my cars day.

Dean

lol! You ever think of becoming a writer? Very detailed and descriptive. I can't even remember where I got my car washed yesterday, let alone what the suds and dirt looked like dripping off my car.

Anyways...
You'll laugh, you'll cry. It's an emotional rollercoaster. Good reading.

nice story! now i can go to bed with uhh good dreams? well at any rate...a 30 minute job is really a miracle (the car wash that is) if it ended up lookin that good. Crap! I spent the better part of 3 hours at the ass crack of dawn washin, vacuuming, and detailing everything! A really good car wax does wonders for the paint, really it does! along with tire gel, not that crappy tire foam stuff which is gone after about a day.
