Default Jdm Wrx/sti V4 5-speed Transmission

hey guys, I have a jdm v4 tranny that will fit both wrx's and sti's. It is strong as hell!! you can seriously put it through anything.

ok guys... 3000 for this... tranny, driveshaft, all the axles, gear box and I think thats everything that goes into the drivetrain... basically everything is getting replaced with STI stuff so i need it all out now!!

I dont know the gear ratios but let me tell you this... in 5th, at 80 mph, your doing about 4100 rpm... and it tops out at about 150... my rex's speedo went to 140 and the little needle flew past it.

It doesnt have too high of a top speed but it will get there damn quick. THIS IS THE PERFECT TRANNY FOR A TRACK CAR!!!!!! I really dont want to get rid of it but I need to gather up about 3k to have my motor rebuilt. I will probably buy a regular wrx 5-speed. I rarely launch and this car has been to the track once so I just need something I can cruise in and take to high speeds on the freeways.

3000.00 obo!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have been up to 145 before... i just assumed you can hit 150. I might even have a little video clip... Ill be sure to post it just for you.

any way. since the install of new cluster, the speedometer and tach rpm show slightly different but not by more then 200, not 2000, rpm

ALSO... I was at 8k rpm when hitting that speed son

i still call bull ****, i'm going out right now to prove it. I just dont want someone to buy this thinking this, that is a false statement. you will top out at 130 a lil more. period. If someone wants this tranny and wants real answers email me. YOU CAN NOT DO ANY THING CLOSE TO 140 or more!!!!!!! Going to find my camera mount for my roll bar right now. I really dont want the buyer thinking this!!!! and you will only get about 225-240 on a full tank...and what heads and turbo?

garrett t3/t04 rotated mount ewg, 2.0 heads, 2.5 block, tuning, and a ton of power... none the less... a car can only travel as fast as the tranny lets it... and these are my results.... maybe 5th gear is redone? not sure but thats what I got. maybe your tranny is $#!%... who knows

any jdm tranny will top out at a low speed, your even saying that it accelerates very fast, ever wonder why? because it has short gears and roughly tops out at 130 just like lil jon says.

Technically, with 205/55R16 tires at 7500 rpm, you could reach 150 mph. Just 500 rpm more will make a 10 mph difference. This is all technically speaking. But then, how many of you have gone 181 mph in a stock WRX?

ok check it out guys... having the tranny in my car, i thi-, no wait... i know for sure what speeds ive been at... yes it has wires coming out of the trans so i am guessing it does have the dccd... i dont have it hooked up tho. if someone could take a pic and post it i will confirm... i want to get rid of mine because i want a 6 speed drive train so my rpm's are not so high up there. with that said, the tranny, front axles, drive shaft and rear axles need to go... ill do a direct swap or sell it piece by piece. if anyone wants to help by telling me what parts i need to replace it with, it would help out a lot. this thread is not about how fast the car can go with the tranny... its not too fast, but its really zippy perfect for a track car or daily city driving... have a nice day
