Default HID Off and on

I have a HID set on my 05 wrx. For starters If i have the lights on when i start up my car my Right light will flicker and shut off. IT can be easiyl turned back on with just toggling switch.

Normal driving? When i come to a stop my right light will shut off sometimes if my rpms drop a bit to low.

I have a system and subs and a few other electronics running on stock battery. COuld it be the battery?

I pulled out the bulb and it does have a brown spot inside. Bulb Might be going out? Which bulbs do i replace with.?

Is it me or has this same exact thread been posted a billion times

Check all your wiring and connections and make sure you are using a wiring harness and not just tapping the HID ballasts into your stock wiring. You probably have a faulty ballast because you are running a crappy kit. And watch out, everyone is going to tell you to get rid of it!

(Which is good advice)

+1^

this comes up ALL the time. you either have a dead ballast (this is normal for hid kits, they suck) or you are straining your stock wiring for power.

you need to have the ballasts connected to the battery using a relay.

+1287327678234 for getting rid of the kit

Here's what I think...
When you have your lights ON and your key on the ACC position, the headlights will stay on. But as soon as you start your car, your car will stopped the electrical supply for a brief moment as it engages the starter motor. Then the battery resumes the supply of electricity to other components.

Your HID lights are not meant for repeated ON-OFF cycles in short periods of time. So from your unintentional ON-OFF cycles (by starting the car while lights are on ON position), you have increased the wear of either the bulb or the ballast (or both). For a short term fix, ensure your lights are OFF before you crank the engine.

^ that or there is condensation or water in the ballast, ive changed millions of parking light ballasts with a similar issue, when powered up they flicker on off, or when the load current load changes they flicker on off, or not on at all. Also i had water from rain get into my drivers side hid ballast and had a very similar issue.
