Default Want to trade my Civic Hybrid + 10 sec Mustang for your Sti, Evo or 135i?

Hello all.

I have recently relocated from NJ to Long Island for work and my two cars which once were perfect for my situation (Long commute and lived next to a drag strip), dont make as much sense now. (Only a 10 mile work commute and no drag strip within 100 miles). I would also like to go down to one car because I dont have much parking where I am currently living.

So I have been thinking about trading both of these amazing cars for either an Sti, Evo or a BMW 135i.

Here are descriptions of both cars.

2007 Honda Civic Hybrid
Silver Exterior/Blue Interior
25,000 miles
Interior 10/10 and Exterior 9/10
Purchased 6/07
Always given dealer maintainence.
Warranty still active.
Average about 40mpg
Has every feature except for Built in Navigation.

I have more pictures at the following address if you would like to see. Sorry for the blur, but my camera is not very good.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/2598311...n/photostream/

1991 Ford Mustang
Black Exterior
D.S.S. Racing 408 Stroker (approx. 700 miles)
Runs on pump gas!
Trick Flow R intake
AFR 225's
Brand new C4 Tranny with trans brake
Brand new torque Converter (approx. 3800 stall)
BFG 275-60R-15 (28 inch diameter)
8 Point Rollcage
5 point Racing Harness
Kooke Headers
Magnaflow mufflers with cutoffs.
3 inch exhaust throughout car
4.10's in the rear
Weight - 3090 with driver and full tank of gas
Inspection sticker good to 2010
Car has a no frills interior.
All other parts totally NHRA certified to 9.99 sec
+ Too many other parts to list

Professionally built by Jimmy C. of Larocca's Performance fame PERSONALLY!

This car has some serious muscle on the street and at the track. Torque like you wouldn't believe. These are the numbers from the 1/4 on street tires using only the foot brake.

60' - 1.604
1/8 - 6.970
MPH - 99.61
1/4 - 10.942
MPH - 122.22

With some sticky tires and using the trans brake, you could get this into the 10.6 -10.7 range easy.

Here is a link to a video of the mustang on the street. Give you a pretty good idea of how intense it is to drive.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1X9Ty0Kqyw

Those who know me on these forums will know that I am always honest about what I sell and how I describe it.

If you have a long commute and live near a track like I used to, you can truly enjoy these cars to their maximum potential. Get 40 mpg going to work in comfort and then come home and blast down the 1/4 mile in 10 secs or have some serious fun on the street. And also have some ridiculously low insurance costs!

If I still lived in NJ, I would absolutly be keeping these cars, but out here in Long Island with 1 parking space and only 10 minutes from work, they do not make as much sense for me as they used to.

As mentioned before, I am looking for a very clean and low mile Sti, Evo or 135i as a trade. I will consider other cars if you have something very unique or special.

Thanks for your interest. Reply, PM or email me at kimball.daniel@gmail.com with any questions or possible trades.

For us out-of-state guys, how would you work out the transportation of bought/sold vehicles?

I can drive the civic out to wherever you may be and have the Mustang shipped. For the right car, I would cover the cost.

Not hearing much from you guys. Am I missing something? We have a 10 second 1/4 mile monster AND a Honda Civic Hybrid that gets 40mpg as a packaged deal. Best of both worlds!

Not a bad deal at all if someone changed jobs and had a long commute. Wish I had an STI to trade you. (I have the long commute and I love Mustangs)

Well as for the compression, it is very pump gas friendly at a little over 10:1. Also has a very safe tune.

Power wise, I am not 100% sure since I have not had it dynoed recently but it should be close to 450 at the wheels with torque at a higher number. If you wanted more, you could spin the motor higher and do some pretty easy mods to bump it up.

Value of the civic is close to 19K and the Mustang is tough to say since I have put an incredible amount of money into it. I suppose 10K is a fair value on it however. So figure around 29K combined

Thanks! Bump for you... someone looking for a sweet situation, That motor is capable of oh so much more! A small shot of nitrous would and could put that motor into high 8s with the right certification for the car as far as safety!
