Default 98 legacy 5 speed - flashing check engine light after ignition...

I purchased a 98 legacy L wagon 5 speed. It was alright, but the key was stuck in the ignition, on accessory. You could start the car, but never turn to power off, and never lock the doors cuz the only key was in the vehicle! I cut the ignition wires, and wired up my own power switches, and push button start which works great. After I turned the car back on, I don't know if this was purely coincidence, or if this is because of my wiring mods.. but I scanned it and got the following codes:

P1540 - Vehicle Speed Sensor Malfunction 2

P0500 - Vehicle Speed Sensor Malfunction

P0130 - Front Oxygen Sensor Circuit Malfunction

Checking the past codes, it had thrown all of those codes previously and they were also in the memory, as well as fresh.

I cleared them, and those 3 came back on instantly.

What do I need to get rid of the FLASHING check engine light?

Ideas....?

Alright, the green connector under the dash got plugged in, the test connector so the check engine light is out, thats why it was flashing.

Now my question is, wtf is with the speed sensor and 02 sensor problems?

replace both 02 sensors?

whats up with speed sensor? my speedo is perfect..

Was this car originally an automatic? It sounds like it was based upon the key not coming out of the ignition.

That may explain some of your other issues too.

All issues resolved after installing a new ignition switch, sorry for the delayed reply.
