Default Headlight problem

I have an 03 bugeye and every time I put a new bulb in it works for a few hours then stops. When you look at the connector part of the wiring it is white. However when I put the bulb in the other headlight it works again. Please explain this if you can,
Thanks, Nova Scotia Subie

Have you been using aftermarket bulbs, particularly higher wattage ones or ones with a blue coating? If so you may have damaged the connectors from excess heat, inspect them carefully.

Yes I have. Is there anyway to fix the problem or will the connector have to be replaced?

If the connector has heat damage it has to be replaced. You can get a new one with wire pigtails at most parts stores.
