Here is a look inside the build of the Takata time attack car built by P&L motorsports, this car has already been blasting away its compition in the time attack curcuit. The driver James Elterman is such an outstanding driver and all the credit just cannot be given to the car. I will keep this updated as we get futher along in this build, also check out some of the write ups James is adding to this build.
Preparations began on May 14th. We will be shaking the car down at Autobahn Country Club in Joliet, Illinois at a NASA Time Trial on July 19-20. Shortly after the Takata Team will make its Time Attack debut at a Redline Time Attack at Nashville Super Speedway on July 26-27. http://forums.forzamotorsport.net/fo...d/1621856.aspx Engine mods will be disclosed at a later date. ![]() ![]() Here is a before shot ![]() The day the car was dropped off ![]() Work in progress ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

The engine is in the car and the paint job is looking sick. The detailing will be done next week and the car should be ready for its debut very soon.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I will post more pics when the car has all the body parts on and in update 2 i will post the finished car. Last edited by P&L Motorsports Inc.; 07-15-2008 at 06:41 PM. Reason: Progress report |

What front bumper is that? I've seen it on a few cars but I can't remember who makes it.

Very cool. Did he put on the overs so he could lower the car? I remember discussing that with him at St. Louis.

Its nice sometimes to see the actual detail that goes into a roll cage, so here are a few pics of the nice welding and precise positioning of the piping.
